Adam and Eve are vampires who no longer kill for sustenance, for fear of their preys` blood being contaminated by the 21st century environment. They each get their safe blood provided by their own suppliers - Eve from Christopher Marlowe, an elder vampire working in a hospital, and Adam from hematologist Dr. Watson. Even though they`ve been lovers for centuries, they live apart. But when Eve realises that Adam has turned despondent, she leaves the ancient city of Tangier to join him in contemporary Detroit. Adam grows worried, however, when Eve`s little sister Ava, who hasn`t learned to control her wild sides, unexpectedly shows up as well.
