Widowed mother Daung Ni is kicked out of the house by her sister-in-law after her husband`s passing. She takes her only daughter back to her hometown, where she then has to work for the mother of her first love, a man who is still in love with her and is trying to win her back. Unfortunately, the mother does not approve of their relationship, that is until Daung Ni helps them out with their family issues. Just when things seem to be turning better for Daung Ni, something terrible happens to her daughter.
